Well the last three days...what can I say....the forecast was showing huge cells of thunderstorms and heavy rains...needless to say there has been a ton of flooding in the areas we have travelled through, most often after we have left however for the most we have dodged the water works.
Every day for the last three we have left where we stayed and arrived in rain. In between it has been hot and humid which was actually worse than the rain itself. A lot of stop and go again today. We only travelled 222 kms but they were tough ones with the humidity. That said, we travelled through some nice areas with interesting history.

Who slept here? |
Tonight we are staying in Front Royal and by the look of the things we may do a down day here before we head out to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The forecast still isn't looking great. We are staying at a great spot with a fabulous restaurant, indoor pool and laundry facilities...so we now have clean clothes...thank God for small miracles and clean undies.
....and Fred got his bath.

Fred enjoying a hot bath after a long day! |
This is what we look like at the end of a long day and a few "reward" drinks...this is what happens when someone (Terri) says "suck in your gut" when absolutely no guts were pictured in this photo.

Day 5 - Suck in your gut...apparently only Terri and Larry feel they have to! |
.....and then there is the chuckle for the day.......suck in your gut, muffin top!
